Meraki Bespoke Hair Boutique is an independent hair salon in Uplands, Swansea, specialising in bespoke hair colour, balayage, hair extensions and holistic hair care. We focus on healthy hair, wellbeing and a more conscious approach to beauty.
Meraki takes its name from the Greek for doing something with soul. Every visit blends colour craft, sound therapy and bio organic ritual into one unhurried experience.
Our boutique hair salon sits on Glanmor Road in Uplands, Swansea, just a short walk from Brynmill and Sketty, and welcomes clients from Mumbles and across South Wales.
We offer more than just a conscious approach to hair; we provide a portal to restoration. Experience our unique “Surrender Sanctuary” featuring a tree-lined amethyst crystal backwash and the healing vibrations of crystal sound bowls.
We specialise in hair loss solutions and scalp health, using Trichology microscopic analysis. We provide unique holistic hair and scalp treatments, a fusion of 30 years elite hairdressing and Energy Medicine therapy.

Meet Kathryn
With over 30 years in the hair industry and decades spent training in Reiki, Energy Medicine, Indian Head Massage and Meditation, my passion has always blended craftsmanship with holistic wellbeing.
In 2018, I launched Britain’s first holistic hair salon, right here in Wales. Having experienced hair loss myself, I built Meraki as a true sanctuary—designed and hand-built using upcycled materials, from amethyst backwashes to a hidden room behind a secret bookcase for meditation, therapy and reflexology.
That same spirit lives on through Ojas, the organic botanical hair oil developed by my daughter, and through franchising the Meraki model to another salon owner embracing this same peaceful approach. Sustainability runs through everything we do, from bio-organic products to recycled foils and donated hair clippings.
Meraki was never meant to be just a hair appointment. It was created to be your sanctuary.

At Meraki, we believe hair care is self care. Every visit is woven with holistic ritual, sound therapy and scalp work, and bespoke artistry, colour and cutting tailored to you, never off a menu, in a boutique that sees one client at a time, by appointment only.
We work exclusively with Davines, an Italian, B Corp certified haircare house known for its high-performance, bio-organic formulas and commitment to sustainability. Their thoughtful approach to ingredients, packaging, and water conservation reflects our own belief in beautiful haircare that is kinder to the planet.
